Sparking, inspiring possibilities: Filinvest City rises

July 29, 2013

Filinvest City, a 244-hectare master-planned estate development in Alabang, Muntinlupa, continues to inspire possibilities. From its reintroduction in the last quarter of 2012 to the first half of this year, various types of developments have sprouted in every area of this breathing business district.

For starters, Crimson Hotel Manila opened in the first quarter of the year. This FilArchipelago-managed hotel has 325 guest rooms, 20 suites, and one executive lounge, add to that the myriad of deluxe amenities perfect for spending a fine weekend in the city.

Another development that has recently launched is the Filinvest Tent, where big Valentine concerts and bazaars have been hosted. This newest event venue in the South boasts of its spacious interior that could house close to 3,000 people on a concert or theater set up.

True to its commitment in opening then Filinvest Corporate City not only to the business sector but to the greater public is the installation of pylons, district markers and directional and street signages sporting the new look of the new Filinvest City. And to further aid commuters and pedestrians in moving around, city and district wayfinding maps have also been set up.

Definitely good news, on top of the presence of its own security force, and the local government groups such as the Police and the Fire Department, Filinvest City has also established its own Emergency Response Team that would prepare and respond to any incident within the area. This special operations team has its own ambulance, fire truck and soon will have its own fire station.

Unceasing possibilities

Exciting things are indeed coming. For Festival Supermall, outdoor promenades and more greens are being added to the shopping mall courtesy of its additional expanse of 100,000 square meters. Apart from having more shops and dining establishments is the addition of various exciting mall features that include the River Park which is set to launch last quarter of the year.

At the Spectrum Center, a new commercial center along Spectrum Midway Avenue, are ongoing constructions of new branches of McDonald’s, Jollibee and Eastwest Bank. Expected to cater to their respective clientele, they are all set to open in the 2nd half of the year.

In addition, three BPO office buildings are currently under construction, all located in Northgate Cyberzone. Northgate Cyberzone, the premier BPO-IT park and a PEZA zone, forms part of the office developments in Filinvest City. The area has since provided thousands of jobs and is expected to provide more livelihood opportunities to people living in the area.

Various residential developments also have being constructed.

The 27-storey first tower of The Levels has topped off. The California-themed development will have four towers. The five-tower Studio City, which is set to cater to young professionals especially those who are working at the BPO IT Park in Northgate Cyberzone, on the other hand, has seen the topping off of its tower in January of this year while the second was recently launched in June.

Other projects that are set to add vibrancy to the Filinvest City skyline are Far Eastern University, which is, to date, undergoing master-planning for a multibuilding, low-complex with central open area development, and Somerset Alabang Manila, whose service apartments could be beneficial to executives of Filinvest City-based multinational offices like Ford Group Philippines Inc., HSBC, Fluor Daniel, Convergys and Genpact.

“We welcome every project that could contribute to the colorful mix of developments in Filinvest City,” says Kate Ilagan, Executive Vice President of Filinvest Alabang Inc. “Since the last quarter of 2012, Filinvest City has aggressively pursued and inspired possibilities. We are eager to see a lot of things in our pipeline rolled out in the remaining half of the year.  Definitely, there is no slowing down for Filinvest City,” she furthers.
