Coming together for Christmas
People are finally getting together to celebrate Christmas face-to-face making the holidays this year a season of joy and of Thanksgiving. For Filinvest City, the holiday season has been an exciting time as it makes the Metro South vibrant and alive with wonderful displays and dazzling lights.
For the community, there’s also a special reason why they should celebrate Christmas at Central Park, the sprawling space envisioned to become the new events center in the metro south.
Just last March, Filinvest City opened ‘The Great Lawn’ at Central Park to serve as a refuge and open space for people to gather and enjoy, and it really is the best place to be after being locked up for so long.
Now that the Central Park Botanical Garden and Events Area are open and in full swing, the community can’t wait to hold more events and have more people come together and enjoy the holiday season in the area.
Don Ubaldo, first vice president for project development-townships of Filinvest Alabang Inc., said the gathering does not only highlight the best time of the year, but has also given them a moment to reflect on their community and how it blossomed despite the challenges brought about by the pandemic.
The bayanihan, the years of looking out for one another, a unique community effort in Filinvest City has played a big role in helping the city thrive. “This has given us a lot of things to be thankful for,” he said.
According to Ubaldo, when the community opened the park early this year, “our efforts were validated when we saw how the community used it as a refuge to come together to reunite with friends and families, and to just feel a sense of community.”
This year, the community wanted an inclusive celebration to gather and reconnect the Metro South community. Its ‘Come Together for Christmas’ campaign is heartfelt and meaningful with numerous opportunities for the community to bond and to make memories.
“We have chosen Central Park to be the center of all our events and activities this Christmas. Let’s appreciate the beauty of the park, as it is a representation of our desire to create more beautiful and meaningful open spaces for the public,” Ubaldo noted.
The park has come to life with Instagrammable decors, musical performances, a food market, and a lot more, he mentioned.
